【Space Performance】
Satisfied. Some people say the trunk is small, but I think it's sufficient because the seats are very spacious. For a midsize car, it's quite good. I initially planned to buy the Tang, but found the rear row too cramped, making it not very useful. However, if the rear seats of the Tang are folded down, the trunk becomes very spacious. The downside is that the second-row seats of the BYD Tang are relatively narrow. The BYD Song L is more comfortable to ride in.

【Range and Energy Consumption】
After driving 500 kilometers, it consumed approximately 8 liters of fuel and over 30 kWh of electricity. A full tank of fuel and full charge is expected to easily reach 1400 kilometers. I think the pure electric range is quite accurate; a full charge can generally run about 100 kilometers with 20% remaining, which is basically enough for daily commuting. For long trips, I use gasoline. When I first picked up the car, I didn't have a charging pile, so I drove a long distance using fuel. The fuel consumption in low battery mode was about 4.x liters per 100 kilometers. BYD's battery is really good; it can recover a lot of electricity when going downhill. The day after I picked up the car, I drove to the upper entrance of Jindao Gorge, and the energy recovery system charged 12% of the battery when going downhill. Overall, in good road conditions, the pure electric range can easily reach 130-140 kilometers. Plug-in hybrid effectively solves range anxiety. Charging at home costs about 0.04 yuan per kilometer, saving a lot of money.

【Driver Assistance】
I drove a manual transmission car for over ten years and suddenly switched to a new energy vehicle with driver assistance features, which was a bit uncomfortable at first. I even mistakenly stepped on the brake as the clutch twice. These days, I've been testing the intelligent driving on highways and expressways. The first time I used it, I was quite nervous, feeling that the steering wheel was being controlled and I couldn't move it freely, which was a bit scary. But after driving more boldly a few times, I found it really good. Intelligent driving can keep the vehicle in the middle of the lane, and it will automatically brake and decelerate when another car压线 to overtake. As an experienced driver, I don't blindly trust intelligent driving, but it does bring a safer driving experience. BYD's "Celestial Eye" has particularly high safety; it can recognize most scenarios, especially road cones and other objects that some other brand cars cannot识别, which it识别s very well.

【Charging Time】
I hadn't installed a home charging pile before, so I always went to external charging stations. Fast charging is really quick, adding 2-3% of charge per minute. Our home charging pile was just installed today, so I'll use slow charging from now on. But to be honest, using electricity is so convenient and driving on pure electric mode is so comfortable that I wish I had bought the pure electric version. Even for occasional highway trips, charging piles are convenient. I did research earlier; except during National Day and Spring Festival, the charging piles on highways are basically empty on usual days.

【Exterior】
The exterior of the BYD Song L is particularly great, with a sleek and bold design, suitable for men to drive.

【Assisted Driving】
The L2 assisted driving is generally average, in my personal opinion; it didn't bring a striking or impressive experience.

【Range and Energy Consumption】
The battery range performance of BYD vehicles is unquestionable and very solid. After driving the new car for approximately 500 kilometers, both the displayed battery range and the actual range remain satisfactory.

【Car Purchase Experience】
Finally, let me talk about my car purchase journey. I am an ordinary office worker with a modest monthly income, so buying this car was quite a strain for me. Us ordinary people can refer to online influencers' reviews, but shouldn't take them too seriously; we should still prioritize actual car usage needs. First, regarding usage needs: I have a family of four, and this is our only car, so the space needs to be large enough, and the rear seat should occasionally accommodate some items. Second, the appearance doesn't need to be overly individualistic or flashy; it just needs to look pleasant and elegant. Third, and most importantly, is the vehicle's popularity—it isn't something hyped up in reviews or determined by advertisements. This is something ordinary people vote for with their hard-earned money, and popularity to some extent also determines the vehicle's quality and future usage costs.

【Driving Experience】
Picked up the car for 18 days and have driven over 1500 kilometers. It's very easy to drive. The steering and accelerator are much lighter than my previous fuel car, with a precise steering feel. LCC is very useful, not as complicated as "weaving" (Note: may refer to a certain function), and much better than the cruise control of my previous fuel car. However, switching from a sedan to an SUV, I wasn't used to it at first, it felt a bit wobbly, but got used to it after two days.

But found the following four issues for reference only:
1. Brake noise: Discovered on the second day after picking up the car, there are two types of sounds. First, when the speed exceeds about 25km/h and the brake pedal is lightly pressed, there will be a mechanical clicking sound under the foot, which should be a common problem; second, sometimes there is a loud brake pad friction sound during emergency braking (some people say the 4S shop calls it the "dragon roar" as a gift?).
2. The anti-glare function of the interior rearview mirror is poor, not even as good as my Golf 7 bought 8 years ago. It's too dark, making it impossible to see the rear in the evening, and this is without window tinting.
3. When the speed is about 30km/h, the sound of the front motor can be heard. It's not the low-speed warning sound, just the motor sound. Maybe because pure electric cars are too quiet, so it can be heard.
4. The Kumho tires have a bit of road noise. There's nothing to be done about it, after all, the price is there. Changing to Michelin quiet tires in two years will definitely be much better.
